Yankee Hat Releases Significant Phase I Drilling And Trenching Results For Fran Property
September 22, 2005
Vancouver, British Columbia – Yankee Hat Minerals Ltd. (the “Company”) has received and analyzed the balance of the assays from its first phase of drilling on its Fran Property located in northern British Columbia. The results are significant and exceeding encouraging.
The Phase I program consisted of five holes completed by Frontier Drilling for a total of 1167 metres. Drill hole depths ranged between 200 and 250 metres and were designed to test one or more targets, specifically the Central (intrusive hosted) and Southern (intrusive-sediment contact) gold zones.
Holes FR-033 and 034 were primarily to examine the geometry and controls on gold mineralization in a previous drilled area by Navasota. Hole FR-035 tested a gap between previous holes FR-001 and 002. Holes FR-036 and 037 tested a 2004 showing area on the Central Zone 200 metres east of FR-033. Results for Drill holes FR-033 and FR-034 were previously announced. The significant assays are as follows:

FR-033 (224.64 metres total depth)
Encountered sulphide mineralization in the intrusive and at the intrusive/siltstone contact to the south representing the two gold trends. The Central intrusive hosted zone was in an area of major faulting. Intercepts include 1.16 g/t Au over 0.6m and 1.11 g/t Au over 4.81m including 2.06 g/t Au over 2m. Southern gold zone with sulfides in altered siltstones numerous elevated Au and Cu values with best 0.94 g/t Au over 1.38m.
FR-034 (238.05 meters total depth)
Encountered several sulphide zones within intrusive at and above the Central gold zone (previous Navasota Hole FR-027 down –dip had 4.24 g/t Au over26.0m). Significant assays are: well above the Central gold zone 7.15 g/t Au over 0.7m, Central gold zone 1.62 g/t Au over 8.57m including 5.78 g/t Au over 1.05m and 4.05 g/t Au over 0.72m. Also 2.07 g/t Au over 3.60m located 18m below. These zones run 0.12 to 0.2% Cu plus Ag. Hole 034 demonstrated that previous DDH FR-027 actually hit two gold zones, not one in central area making this an new exciting discovery target. Other earlier holes in this area returned 13 to 41 g/t Au intercepts over 1 to 2m intervals.
FR-035(212.45Meters total depth)
Tested area between FR-01 and FR- 02. Encountered the intrusive/siltstone contact at 121 m. Gold values occur within minor sulphide veinlets.
FR-036(245.97 meters total depth)
Encountered massive sulphide zones within the intrusive and on both sides of the intrusive/siltstone contact. Significant assays are: 2.71 g/t Au over 2 m including 4.44 g/t over 1 m; 3.50 g/t Au over 0.53m; 2.87 g/t Au over 8.83 m including 32.20 g/t Au over 0.61 m an 9.44 g/t Au over 0.52 m. Mineralization is open at depth in siltstone. This hole confirms that the gold values occur within the intrusive as well as the siltstones and related contacts.
FR-037(245.67 meters total depth)
Encountered sulphide veinlets within the intrusive. Au values correlate to alteration and associated veins of sulphides. Significant assays are: 1.96 g/t Au over 2.85 m including 4.27 g/t Au over 1.08 m; 1.86 g/t Au over 1 m and 2.46 g/t Au over 1 m.
These initial significant gold values confirms that gold mineralization is pervasive within sulphide occurring either as minor veinlets or massive suphide replacements with the intrusive as well as the siltstone lithology.
TRENCHING
Five trenches exposing bedrock was designed to extend the original showings discovered by Mr. Haslinger. These trenches are located to the western portion of the known mineralization. Assay results as follows have been received for three trenches with the remainder due shortly.

The gold values occur primarily within massive sulphides occurring within the intrusive which is typically altered. These significant values indicate the existence of high grade gold mineralization.
ADDITIONAL CLAIMS
Due to encouraging silt sampling (results announced July 12, 2005), an additional 4 claims have been staked to the northeast of the original claims. These new claims total 1,836.57 Ha thus bringing the total property size to approximately 9,500 Ha. As the result of continuing encouraging results, the Company has more than doubled the original property size.
PHASE II
The Phase II program consisting of 8 holes has now been completed. Core logging is done and samples have been sent for assay. The assay results will be released upon receipt and analysis.
The Fran exploration program is managed and supervised by Ron Wells P.Geo, FGAC, the Qualified Person under NI 43-101.
